The entire world has been living in fear of the Coronavirus pandemic commonly known as Covid-19 for more than one year now. The pandemic has changed the way we were doing things till one year back making many things that would have been otherwise labeled abnormal become normal. The new ways of life like sanitization of hands and body, keeping social distance, wearing a face mask, working from home, avoiding crowds, shopping online, watching movies and series on OTT, etc., etc. have become the new normal with no sight of going back to the old ways of life very soon.
It is estimated that about 150+ million people got affected by Coronavirus as of the end of April 2021, of which 90+ million recovered and 3+ million succumbed to death. As of April end, around 280 million people around the world were fully vaccinated and 600+ million received at least one dose of vaccination.
Vaccines work by mimicking infectious viruses, bacteria or other microorganisms that can cause disease. This ‘teaches’ our immune system to rapidly and effectively respond against it. This is how UNICEF has explained how vaccines work.
Most vaccines have done this by introducing a weakened form of an infectious agent that allows our immune system to build a memory of it. This way, our immune system can quickly recognize and fight the virus or bacteria or such other agents before it makes us ill. That’s how some of the COVID-19 vaccines have also been designed and developed.
Some COVID-19 vaccines have been developed using new approaches different from the conventional method, which are called messenger RNA, or mRNA, vaccines. Instead of introducing antigens (a substance that causes your immune system to produce antibodies), mRNA vaccines give our body the genetic code it needs to allow our immune system to produce the antigen itself. mRNA vaccine technology has been studied for several decades. They contain no live virus and do not interfere with basic human DNA.
Many vaccines have been developed, tested and introduced for public use. There are varying claims on the efficacy of these vaccines. There have also been cases reported of vaccine receivers developing complications like blood clotting after vaccinations. There is also no certain surety on the validity of these vaccines. All these affirmations would come out only over a while. For example, the validity or longevity can be measured only on the passage of time.
WHO says in its portal “ Vaccines are a critical new tool in the battle against COVID-19 and it is hugely encouraging to see so many vaccines available after trials”. The effectiveness of the vaccine varies and many have claimed to be effective up to 70% to 100%; Pfizer and Moderna claiming 95-100% efficacy to India’s Covaxin and Covishield claiming 80-85% efficacy. Working as quickly as they can, scientists from across the world are collaborating and innovating to bring us tests, treatments and vaccines that will collectively save lives and end this pandemic.
It may seem scary and disappointing, but health officials say that vaccines are no sure shield against Covid-19 and even after you get vaccinated, you still need to practice the usual pandemic precautions and protocols, at least for a while. That means steering clear of crowds, continuing to wear a good face mask properly in public, maintaining 6 feet or more of distance from people outside your household and frequently washing or sanitizing your hands.
Several medical experts have concurred among themselves that vaccination against COVID-19 "does not produce a shield" against the deadly virus, but helps reduce the severity of the infection and chances of mortality. This is not giving a license to live the life the way we were doing before Covid but is not unimportant as it might reduce the death rate. There is a general consensus among health experts and doctors that though vaccines may not stop infections it can reduce the severity and consequently death.
Health experts have also opined “ many people after getting vaccinated think that now they are immune to getting the infection. So they either do not wear a mask or wear it improperly. The virus first attacks the nasal passage and then the chest region. So if the mouth and the nostrils are exposed, chances are high that a person, after vaccination, may still get infected,". Add to it the aerosol effect where viruses stay in and travel through air and enter the human body through nose or mouth if not protected properly.
Also, the individual immunity level and associated co-morbidities could be a factor when it comes to getting infected after the first or the second dose of the vaccine, a doctor said, adding, "Our mask is our best vaccine now."
Adding to the challenge is the fact the virus has been mutating and generating new variants. While medical and pharmaceutical industry experts debate over the efficacy of vaccines, many doctors doubt that as the coronavirus has been mutating, it will affect the efforts to detect the infection, develop vaccination and capability to develop herd immunity. So far, a UK strain, Brazil and South African variants and a double mutant of the virus have been reported in many parts of the world.
Dubbed B.1.1.7, the UK variant was first identified in the fall of 2020. It spreads more easily and quickly than other variants, according to the CDC, and potentially is 30% more lethal than the wildtype version, although that is still being investigated. It was first detected in the U.S. at the end of December 2020.
Doctors and Health experts are worried that coronavirus may end up being like influenza, which requires a new vaccine every year both because the circulating strains mutate fast and because immunity from the vaccine wears off quickly.
Although initial evidence suggests immunity from vaccination against coronavirus provides long-lasting protection, vaccine makers have begun making and testing versions of their vaccines that protect against worrying variants of the virus.
India’s Hyderabad-based doctor Lakshmi Lavanya Alapati replied to his tweet on the microblogging platform, saying, "After both doses are administered, antibodies develop and severity of infection and chances of death are lowered. There is an 85% reduction in chances of hospitalisation after vaccination. But vaccines cannot prevent the virus from entering your body - only masks can stop virus entry."
Safe and effective vaccines will be a gamechanger: but for the foreseeable future, we must continue wearing masks, sanitizing hands and body, physically distancing and avoiding crowds. Being vaccinated does not mean that we can throw caution to the wind and put ourselves and others at risk, particularly because it is still not clear the degree to which the vaccines can protect not only against disease but also against infection and transmission. Wearing a mask not only protects you but others from getting affected too which in turn reduces social spread of the deadly virus.

Life hasn't been easy since the pandemic has hit us all. Individuals from all walks of life have been affected because of it so far. Wearing face masks while being in a public place is the new normal since pandemic has happened. Wearing a face mask is a must in public as a precautionary measure to avoid getting infected by COVID. The novel coronavirus has made face masks an essential commodity not only for the medical professional but also for the general public also. There is a wide variety of face masks out there, but any ordinary face mask cannot be used for a specific occasion, as every occasion demands a different set of requirements.
Since the pandemic hit, we have witnessed which face masks offer protection and which ones don't. Since the very genesis of the novel coronavirus, scientists have been researching this virus, trying to know it in every way possible, from its incubation period to its aftermath, and various other factors that will help them decrease the spread of this deadly virus. Face masks are now one of the essential accessories, whether you go out for a walk around the block or a trip to another city face masks are also symbolic of the fact that there is still something out there that may affect our bodies from inside.
By now you must be knowing that all face masks are not the same, and every face mask serves a different purpose. We have witnessed a diversity of face masks, from the classic surgical face mask to the incredible DIY homemade face masks, which are next to being an ineffective piece of cloth. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) has released a checklist of the prerequisites of an effective face mask that must be inspected before buying a face mask. As per the suggestions of CDC, one must go for a face mask that has :
When talking about reusable face masks, one should go for the ones that have a proper filter and that filters that are easy to change when the previous one expires, and the most crucial point in the checklist is to ensure that they are machine wash friendly.
This happens to be a highly subjective question, and the answer to this question depends on various factors and your surroundings. In a place where there are few to no people around, one can continue his active sports without the masks, and when one has quite a few people around him, one has to wear a face mask without any second thought.
While doing activities that demand high effort and high intensity, will make one feel shortness of breath which is very obvious because the face mask decreases the airflow making it difficult to breathe for anyone. A face mask while working out and performing active sports will impact your pace. The aftermath of which can be a hard time catching breath, fatigue.
Performing tasks like running, jogging, or working out can be a difficult task to do when you are wearing a face mask, it can result in excessive sweat, which would eventually make your face mask damp, and it has been observed that a wet face mask, especially from the outside can make it ineffective to a certain extent, which can make it even more uncomfortable and shorten the breath. There are face masks specially designed to alleviate the problems stated above. Sports face masks are specially designed to eliminate the problems faced by anyone while wearing a regular face mask. They are made of a fabric that makes them more breathable and less uncomfortable than an ordinary face mask. This actively demonstrates that a sports face mask doesn't allow the retention of moisture, is more comfortable comparatively, and is designed in such a fashion that it would not fall off if you wear it and perform some active sports or any other activity. So if you are an individual who is an avid sports folk, don't let the virus keep you sitting in a room. Grab a sports face mask and while maintaining every precaution and keep your game up. Explore the sports face masks that are made to repel and absorb the moisture while making sure that it is not too thick or restricts the circulation of oxygen.
To sum up, everything that has been stated so far it can be concluded that every situation demands different conditions, therefore, for every situation, a different kind of mask should be used. There are various scattered options available on the internet that can provide you a sports face mask. But on our website, you can explore a plethora of options and select the one that you think suits you the best. Our team has created an anti-slip design velcro face mask that is the final stop to all of your sports mask requirements. Our reusable sports face masks are meant for avid sports folks like you and can withstand rough weather, and they are built to last. With our face mask, you need not worry about the size of the face mask as they have been designed on the "one size fits all" principle. Did you know that there are one trillion species of microbes in the world that we live in? And do you know that 99.999 percent of them have yet to be discovered? A glass of clean drinking water contains ten million bacteria. Ah...don’t be scared. They are good bacteria. There are good and bad microbes. Some of which are beneficial to us and there are several of them that are harmful to our existence. There are several types of microbes: bacteria, archaea, protozoa, algae, fungi, viruses, and multicellular animal parasites. And microbes have their homes in different places: soils, rivers, lakes, oceans, on the surface of living and dead things, inside other organisms, on man-made structures etc.
The ancient people used things readily available to them to cure infections: tree barks, herbs and leaves. Honey, turmeric and alcohol were used to treat wounds and to ward off infections. The Egyptians and the Greeks used alcohol as a cure for infections and to prevent future infections. The Bubonic plague hit and people ran off into the bath houses. The bath house was their sanitizer. People attributed the outbreak of epidemics to natural causes. They were seen as bad omens according to their worldview.
In 1861, the French biologist Louis Pasteur proved to the world that many diseases are caused by microorganisms not visible to the naked eye. He showed the world that infectious illnesses such as common cold, pneumonia, tuberculosis etc. are caused by certain microscopic organisms. His contributions to medicine changed the way we approach medicine, our understanding of it, and it resulted in the growth of biotechnology.
Humans have used soaps for a long time. The Sumerians, the Babylonians, the Greeks and the Romans used soaps to sanitise themselves. The earliest reference we have about soap is from 3000 B.C. The Sumerians made soaps from a mixture of ashes and water. In ancient Sumer, the priests and those who attended them purified themselves before performing their sacred rites. They were cautious about not defiling their temple. The Babylonians found out that by mixing animal fats and wood ash with water, they could make a substance with which to purify themselves. We have evidence that the Babylonians used soaps to sanitise themselves as far as 2800 B.C.
The Ebers papyrus (1500 B.C) shows that the Egyptians made soaps for themselves by mixing animal fats or vegetable oils with alkaline salts. They used soaps to treat skin diseases and threatening sores. They also used soaps for body washing. They recognised the medicinal value of soap and used it as their sanitizer. The ancient Greeks and Romans used public baths to cleanse their bodies. The leaves and branches of various trees such as Bay Laurel, Fir, Pine, and Juniper were added into the water for their medicinal value. An ancient Roman legend says that soap, called Sapon, was invented accidentally on Mount Sapo, their sacred mountain. The fat or tallow from the animals that were slaughtered as part of their sacrifices and the ashes from the sacrificial fires, mixed with the water that flowed freely in Mount Sapo to create the soap. The Romans considered the soap as sacred which they got as a gift from their sacred mountain. The process whereby alkaline salts mix with vegetable oils or animal fats to form a detergent or soap is called saponification. Thus for the ancient world, the soap was their sanitizer.
Since the dawn of history, many cultures have used alcohol to treat and disinfect wounds. The Sumerians used beer to treat wounds. They brewed at least 19 different types of beer! A prescription for wound healing from ancient Mesopotamia reads, “Pound together fur-turpentine, pine-turpentine, tamarisk, daisy, flour of inninnu strain; mix in milk and beer in a small copper pan; spread on skin; bind on him, and he shall recover.” Wine was used in ancient Israel to treat open wounds. In one of Jesus’ parables, the Good Samaritan uses wine and oil to treat the wounds of a man who was almost dead. Doctors in ancient Greece recommended alcohol to treat wounds. They recommended washing the wound with clean water first and then with vinegar and wine. When Hippocrates writes about wound healing, he writes, “For an obstinate ulcer, sweet wine and a lot of patience should be enough.” By the 1880s, alcohol was used by surgeons to disinfect skin before performing operations. A survey from 1948 says that 64 percent of hospitals in the United States used ethanol for skin disinfection.
During World War 2, Goldie Lippman worked as a supervisor in a rubber factory in Akron, Ohio. She noticed that the workers there had a hard time cleaning graphite and carbon black off their hands. The workers complained of irritating hands at the end of their shifts. They had to dip their fingers into harsh chemicals in order to disinfect their hands. She and her husband Jerry Lippman tried to work out a solution. The couple developed an alcoholic mixture that was gentler on skin, and sold them in pickle jars in 1946. Thus came to be GOJO Hand Sanitizer. This was the first modern hand sanitizer. In 1988, the GOJO company came out with Purell Hand Sanitizer. It was originally sold to hospitals, schools and public places. The hand-sanitizer was made up of a gelled mixture containing between 60 and 70 percent ethyl alcohol and isopropanol. The hand-sanitizer in the form of a gel was easy to apply to hands and served as a moisturizer. Thus was the birth of the modern hand-sanitizer.
Check out our newest automatic sensor soap & sanitizer dispenser here.
This sanitizer evolved into different forms and sizes. Sarah needs a small and compact bottle that can fit into her fancy bag. Peter doesn’t want to make an addition to his already overstuffed suitcase. Travel sanitizers come to their rescue.
Hotels, schools, workspaces, and all public places are breeding grounds of contagious diseases. A sanitizer is essential in those places to keep people from harmful diseases. But we don’t need people to touch the sanitizer with unclean hands that could carry harmful pathogens. Thanks to technology, we humans have invented automatic sanitizer dispensers. With the help of powerful sensors, you can purify your hands just by placing your hands before the machine. By this way, contamination by touch is avoided and healthy and clean spaces are guaranteed.

To minimize the risk of getting sick, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend taking action to disinfect high-touch surfaces, such as countertops, doorknobs, cellphones, and toilet flush handles since some pathogens can live on surfaces for several hours.

Every movie and fairytale has its own ‘ending’. Every race has its ‘finish line’. Every task has its ‘deadlines’. But have you heard about the Coronavirus’s predicted ending?
Apparently, NOT!
As of today, we still try to convince ourselves that everything is going to get better someday. We still hope that we could live life like we used to and act as nothing tragic had happened before. But could there be an answer to this question? Unfortunately, as of the moment, there’s none.
Good news: You can actually protect yourself as much as possible by wearing an N95 respirator face mask: Get your N95 respirator masks for the whole family today.
No one, not even the medical experts knew that this would happen. And because of this, none of us was prepared enough to face this current pandemic. There were no tested preventions for this, proven-effective solutions and accurate treatments for those people who have been infected with this disease. Yes, we do have a lot of research and studies regarding ways on how to kill viruses with our available medicines, but sadly, we have to face that this research wasn't sufficient and perfect enough to fight this invading virus.

We are so used to the sight of face masks everywhere that a person who is not wearing one just plainly stands out. It’s easy to feel some kind of anger toward a person who is out in public and not wearing a mask. But before you get angry, understand that in some cases, a person shouldn’t wear a mask - also according to the CDC.
The CDC has stated that children under two years old, people who are unconscious or incapacitated, people who are physically unable to remove their masks and people who have breathing problems should not wear masks. While there are many options to buy KN95 / N95 face masks online, not everyone will be able to breathe comfortably while wearing one.
Unfortunately, the CDC’s wording regarding people with breathing problems and if they are mandated to wear a face mask not matter what is not clear. There are many issues that can cause breathing problems; breathing problems can range from very mild to severe. This means that people with breathing problems must decide for themselves whether or not a mask would be appropriate for them.
One needs to keep in mind that wearing a mask won’t necessarily protect you from getting infected, as they are worn to prevent spreading the virus to others. Therefore, not wearing a mask won’t necessarily make you much more vulnerable than the rest of the population. But it may make you feel uneasy and kind of exposed to viruses and other particles floating around in the air, especially in closed rooms.
The FDA and WHO have been even less straightforward about the do’s and don’ts of wearing a face cover. On the FDA homepage it says "If worn properly, face masks, surgical masks, or respirators may reduce the chance of spreading a COVID-19 infection between you and those around you."
There are many different reasons why a person may have difficulty breathing. A common reason is asthma, a condition that affects a person’s airways. If a person with asthma wears a wrong face mask it can indeed worsen symptoms.
Other common causes for difficult breathing are emphysema or pneumonia. But if your breathing problems are caused by a COVID-19 infection, you should not be out in public at all. And if you need to go to a doctors appointment, you should call first and find out, if you should stay at home or if you are actually allowed to go out. In that case, you should definitely wear a face mask to protect others. You may choose a lighter surgical mask in this case and a face shield to make sure you won't spread the virus around your loved ones and out in the public.
Things get more complicated when you consider breathing difficulties that are caused by non-respiratory issues. For instance, those who struggle with anxiety attacks tend to have difficulty breathing. There are also some digestive disorders that can interfere with lung capacity due to the fact that the esophagus and stomach are close to the lungs. Are these people also exempt from wearing a mask? The CDC does not get into specifics, so you must use your own discretion. And, of course, you can speak with your doctor, as he or she can tell you whether or not you should wear a mask.
One should not forget that if you already have moderate to severe breathing issues, you will likely have more severe symptoms should you catch the virus. Therefore, you should avoid being out in public as much as possible, whether you are able to wear a mask or not.
If you cannot wear a mask, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still employ methods for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus. By practicing the other social distancing measures, such as avoiding gatherings, not touching your face, disinfecting your hands, keeping up a strict hygiene regimen and staying at least six feet away from others, you can still do your part in slowing down the spread of the Coronavirus.
While the CDC exempts certain people from wearing masks, many states have strict laws about when you must wear a mask. This means that while the CDC may allow you to not wear one, you may still not be able to engage in certain activities, such as going to a grocery store, unless you have a mask on.
Remember that it’s far more important to wear a mask when you’re indoors or in a crowd than if you’re outdoors and away from people. In other words, if you have breathing problems and cannot wear a mask, you can still safely go for a walk around your neighborhood as long as you’re not within six feet of others.
While the CDC urges people to wear a face covering whenever they are out in public, there are some people who are exempt from this guideline. If you have breathing difficulties, you are not required to wear a mask, as doing so could make your problem worse. Instead, practice the other social distancing guidelines, and you should be fine.

P2 masks are also called N95 masks and are actually the same masks. Why the two names? P2 is used only in Europe as a name for the N95 mask because it went through European testing. The name 'N95' is used in the US indicating the approval of US regulations. Both masks block out at least 95% of the particles.
Disposable P2/N95 face masks (also known as P2/N95 respirators) are able to filter out very fine particles from the air when worn correctly, and so reduce the risk of airborne transmission of Q fever and other infectious diseases when working in potentially contaminated areas.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC) will not suggest that the general population utilize N95 respirators to shield themselves from respiratory infections, including coronavirus (COVID-19). These are essential resources that will continue to be allocated for health care staff and all first responders, as stated in the latest CDC guidelines.

No matter your age or fitness level, the following 4 activities are some of the best and real fun exercises you can do. They will help you get in shape and lower your risk for catching a disease soon:
1. Swimming
You might call swimming the perfect workout. The water supports your body and takes the strain off painful joints so you can move them more fluidly. Swimming is especially perfect for you if you are suffering from arthritis because it's less weight-bearing. Research has found that swimming can also improve your mental state and put you in a better mood. Water aerobics is another option. These classes help you burn calories and tone up.
2. Tai chi
This Chinese martial art that combines movement and relaxation is good for both body and mind. In fact, it's been called meditation in motion. Tai chi is made up of a series of graceful movements, one transitioning smoothly into the next. Because the classes are offered at various levels, tai chi is accessible and valuable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It's particularly good for older people because balance is an important component of fitness, and balance is something we lose as we get older.
3. Strength training
If you believe that strength training is a macho, brainless activity, think again. Lifting light weights won't bulk up your muscles, but it will keep them strong. If you don't use muscles, they will lose their strength over time.
Muscle also helps burn calories. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, so it's easier to maintain your weight. And one important fact recent studies show: strength training may also help preserve brain function in later years. Before starting a weight training program, be sure to learn the proper form. Start light, with just one or two pounds. You should be able to lift the weights 10 times with ease. After a couple of weeks, increase that by a pound or two. If you can easily lift the weights through the entire range of motion more than 12 times, move up to a slightly heavier weight.
4. Walking
Walking is simple, yet powerful. It can help you stay trim, improve cholesterol levels, strengthen bones, keep blood pressure in check, lift your mood, and lower your risk for a number of diseases (diabetes and heart disease, for example). A number of studies have shown that walking and other physical activities can even improve memory and resist age-related memory loss. All you need is a well-fitting and supportive pair of shoes. Start with walking for about 10 to15 minutes at a time. Over time, you can start to walk farther and faster, until you're walking for 30 to 60 minutes on most days of the week.
Many of the things we do for fun (and work) count as exercise. Raking the yard counts as physical activity. So does ballroom dancing and playing with your kids or grandkids. As long as you're doing some form of aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, and you include two days of strength training a week, you can consider yourself an "active" person.
Make sure to wear your sports face masks as much as you can, because it will protect you from the aerosols floating through the air, carrying viruses like COVID-19 or other 'unhealthy' particles.
We recommend our special designed Sports face mask, which is reusable and has a PM2.5 filter for even more protection, to all sports enthusiast and athletes. Other features are:
Two Breathing Airways
These will allow you to breathe comfortably without having to think that you have something covering your airways.

]]>Counterfeit respirators are products offered and falsely marketed as being NIOSH-approved, but might not be capable of giving appropriate protection. As the N95 masks become harder and harder to get, the KN95 mask has emerged as a perfect alternative for healthcare providers who work on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The N95 and KN95 masks are essentially the same and meet strict requirements. They both provide 95% filtration of particles >0.3 microns in size. KN95 is the Chinese code, and N95 is the code used in the USA. With these respirator masks in high demand, many scam shops popped up on the internet selling counterfeit, or fake masks that don’t even come close to government standards. That’s why we’ve pulled together some tips on how to tell a real KN95 mask from a fake.
How to identify a NIOSH-approved respirator?
You can visually identify if the respirators are NIOSH-approved if they have an approval label on or within the packaging of the respirator (on the box itself or within the users' instructions). Also, the abbreviated approval is on the FFR itself.
NIOSH-approved FFRs will always have one of the following designations: N95, N99, N100, R95, R99, R100, P95, P99, P100. By verifying the specific designation for a certain respirator, you can be assured that your respirator mask is not a counterfeit. You can also confirm and verify the approval number on the NIOSH Certified Equipment List (CEL) or the NIOSH Trusted-Source page.
Just look for online medical equipment or PPE suppliers like us who are upfront in their descriptions of the products. You want KN95 masks that:
- Meet standards similar to NIOSH, including KN95 respirator masks with head straps or ear loops that meet standards GB 2626-2006, GB 2626-2019, and GB 19083-2010.
- Are FDA and CE compliant.
- Have the standard markings and prints on the masks and the packaging.
- Are not being offered at a ridiculously high price.

Signs that a respirator may be counterfeit:
- There are NO markings at all on the filtering face piece respirator
- There is NO approval (TC) number on filtering face piece respirator or headband
- There are NO NIOSH markings
- NIOSH spelled incorrectly, an obvious counterfeit
- You can see the presence of decorative fabric or other decorative add-ons (e.g., sequins)
- There are claims for the approval for children but NIOSH does not approve any type of respiratory protection for children.
- Filtering face piece respirator has ear loops instead of headbands
You can also test your KN95 mask at home to check if they are legitimate. Here are 3 quick tests:
1. The Lighter Test
- Put on your respirator mask.
- Hold a lighter six inches from your mouth and activate it. Be careful!
- Try to blow out the flame.
Certified KN95 mask: You won’t be able to blow out the flame no matter how hard you try.
Counterfeit mask: You can blow the flame out.
In order to meet the strong standards, lab-tested KN95 masks must be made of strong but breathable full mesh nylon. The nylon must meet for inspiratory resistance (meaning: <=350 Pa) and expiratory resistance (meaning: <=250 Pa) — “Pa” is short for “Pascals”, which is the international unit of measurement for air pressure. This means that the nylon obstructs contagions like viruses from passing through during inhalation and exhalation while still allowing comfortable air circulation.
2. The Smell-Test
- Put on your respirator mask.
- Put a half cut onion onto a spoon or flat surface.
- Try sniffing with the mask on, then take the mask off and sniff again, making note of any difference.
Certified mask: You catch the onion fragrance, but just barely.
Poor quality mask: You can still smell the onion in full force.
This is because a certified lab-tested KN95 mask has a filtration rate of >=95%. It is designed to filter out at least 95% of particles sized 3 microns or larger. Onion particles are about seven microns or bigger in size, so if you can smell the Onions full scent strength through your mask, its filtration ability is just not as good as a legitimate KN95 mask.
3. The Water Test
- Pick up your respirator mask and hold it by the elastic bands, with the inside of the mask facing up.
- Fill the mask with water.
Certified mask: The mask holds the water with zero leakage.
Poor quality mask: Water leaks from the mask.
Certified respirator masks must have a waterproof layer to protect you from any splashes of biological fluids. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) recommends during a shortage of respirator masks, that you can actually wash and reuse your KN95 mask as long as it “maintains its structural and functional integrity and the filter material is not physically damaged or soiled.”
Be vigilant and be knowledgeable in buying the right respirators for you, your family, and friends.

Decontamination of N95 FFR may vary depending on the substance or chemicals used for the decontamination process.
FFRs are highly considered to be a one-time use products and as of the moment, there are no authorized methods for the decontamination and reuse of FFR.
But still, there are some potential methods to decontaminate FFRs: Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI), vaporous hydrogen peroxide (VHP), and moist heat.
Yet, there are no authorized recommendations of using these methods and these are only potential methods that you can use in case there is an optimum shortage of FFRs. However, when healthcare providers (HCPs) are performing an aerosol-generating procedure, these FFRs should not be worn, given the uncertainties about the impact of decontamination on respirator performance.
Good news: You can also protect yourself from viruses by wearing an FFP3 or KN95 respiratory mask: Get your KN95 respirator masks & replacement filters for the whole family today.
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI)
It is one of the most promising methods for decontamination but the effect varies depending on the dosage. It is a disinfection process that utilizes ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UV-C) light to kill or inactivate microorganisms by killing nucleic acids and damaging their DNA, causing them unable to conduct essential cellular functions. However, UV-C radiation is low on Earth's surface because it is filtered by the ozone layer of the atmosphere. UVGI is unlikely to kill all the viruses in the FFRs due to the shadow effect produced by multiple layers in FFRs.
Vaporous hydrogen peroxide (VHP)
Investigations into VHP decontamination of FFRs offer proof of a marginal impact on filtration and health while showing 99.9999% effectiveness in destroying bacterial spores. Vaporized hydrogen peroxide has been studied as an airborne disinfectant and prevention mechanism for hospital infections and has been shown to reduce the occurrence of nosocomial infections triggered by a variety of pathogens.

Moist Heat
Moist heat, consisting of 60 ° C and 80 percent relative humidity ( RH), induced limited deterioration in the filtration and performance of the FFRs. One disadvantage of the approach of moist heat is the ambiguity of the disinfection efficacy for different pathogens.
Bear in mind that these potential decontamination methods for N95 FFRs are not subjected to authorized methods. Decontamination of N95 FFR greatly depends on the given circumstances.

When using hand sanitizer, apply the product to the palm of one hand (read the label to learn the correct amount) and rub the product all over the surfaces of your hands until your hands are dry. The steps for hand sanitizer use are based on a simplified procedure recommended by the CDC. Instructing people to cover all surfaces of both hands with hand sanitizer has been found to provide similar disinfection effectiveness as providing detailed steps for rubbing-in hand sanitizer.
Many studies show that hand sanitizers work well in clinical settings like hospitals, where hands come into contact with germs but generally are not heavily soiled or greasy. Some data also show that hand sanitizers may work well against certain types of germs on slightly soiled hands. However, hands may become very greasy or soiled in community settings, such as after people handle food, play sports, work in the garden, or go camping or fishing.
Take Advantage of Our VIP Bulk Volume Pricing!
When hands are heavily soiled or greasy, hand sanitizers may not work well. Handwashing with soap and water is recommended in such circumstances.Although few studies have been conducted, hand sanitizers probably cannot remove or inactivate many types of harmful chemicals. In one study, people who reported using hand sanitizer to clean hands had increased levels of pesticides in their bodies. If hands have touched harmful chemicals, wash carefully with soap and water (or as directed by a poison control center). If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Many studies have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration between 60–95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizers without 60-95% alcohol 1) may not work equally well for many types of germs, and 2) merely reduce the growth of germs rather than kill them outright. Please note that we can only pass on general information and cannot make any guarantees or be liable for any consequences of your decision making or behavior. Use good common sense and ask your health care provider or physician for advice.
90% of alcohol rubs are supposed to be more effective against viruses than most other forms of hand washing. Isopropyl alcohol will kill 99.99 % or more of all non-spore-forming bacteria in less than 30 seconds, both in the laboratory and on human skin. Alcohol rub sanitizers kill most bacteria, and fungi, and stop some viruses.

But CDC recommends washing hands with soap and water whenever possible because hand washing reduces the amounts of all types of germs and chemicals on hands. But if soap and water are not available, using a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can help you avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. The guidance for effective hand-washing and the use of hand sanitizer in community settings was developed based on data from a number of studies.

The difference between an N95/KN95, N99 and N100 respirator face mask is simply the filter's efficiency level (i.e. N95 = NOT Resistant to solids and liquids which contain oil and provides 95% efficiency). The higher the efficiency, the more particulates the respirator will filter out. But also understand that breathing becomes more difficult as you choose higher density filter levels.
Remember to safely discard your N95 respirator face mask, and make sure to cut the straps to protect animals from getting entangled, thus threatening their lives. Then place it in a paper bag, and put it into the trash. Recycle where possible. Wash your hands after handling the used N95 face mask or respirator.

The N95 respirator face mask or DYI face masks with an activated carbon filter can make it a bit safer by reducing the intake of germs and particles, however, it's also more difficult for the wearer to breathe due to carbon dioxide buildup, which reduces the intake of oxygen, increased breathing rates, and heart rates. The bottom line is, if you have lung disease (i.e. asthma, bronchitis, shortness of breath), ask your doctor about wearing an N95 face mask.
Later on, feel free to scroll down to watch the video at the end of this blog - this is an interesting experience from a person with asthma.

Now that we've all been wearing face masks to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, some people say that wearing a mask is reducing their intake of oxygen—or forcing them to breathe in their own carbon dioxide. This leaves them feeling faint or light-headed. They're also concerned about how dangerous this is, and how less oxygen and more carbon dioxide might affect their health.
One driver who crashed his SUV into a pole actually blamed his collision on his mask. He told police he passed out because he’d been wearing an N95 mask for too long. The officers believed him, writing in their reports that he was the only person in the car and passed out due to insufficient oxygen intake/excessive carbon dioxide intake.

So is it possible that wearing a face mask as part of social distancing can cause someone to build up so much carbon dioxide and get so little oxygen that they pass out, or worse? Carbon dioxide is a natural by-product of the body’s respiration process, something we all breathe in and out every day. How harmful can it be?
In rare cases, it can actually be pretty dangerous, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). They say that inhaling high levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) may be life-threatening. Hypercapnia (carbon dioxide toxicity) can also cause headache, vertigo, double vision, inability to concentrate, tinnitus (hearing a noise, like a ringing or buzzing, that’s not caused by an outside source), seizures, or suffocation due to displacement of air. CO2 is present in the atmosphere at a level of about 0.04%. It is dangerous in an atmosphere when it is greater than about 10%.
It’s also possible to have too little CO2. If you hold your breath, you wind up with too much CO2. The core issue is that CO2 regulates the pH of the blood—too much CO2 and the blood becomes too acidic; too little and it becomes too basic (alkaline). In either case, your body detects the change in acidity and you pass out, which is the body’s way of saying, please stop fooling with me and breathe normally.

Is it safe for pets during these challenging times of Covid-19. Is it still safe for animals to live wherever they want to? Is it okay to just let them be free and do whatever they like?
Nobody knows the root source of this virus that literally had spread throughout the world, but many kinds of research proved and concluded that the Coronavirus disease typically comes from a certain cave animal known as “bat”.
But based on the research mandated by the Center for Disease Control and Protection, there has been no accurate study about the connection between the animals and the modern virus. Up until now, animals have no significant role in spreading viruses and even adopting one from themselves. This study is still under process for there is no definite knowledge of how animals could potentially have or can be infected by the CoronaVirus disease.

The Corona infection is well known for targeting mostly the respiratory system of people making it harder to breathe and develop various respiratory complications. Thus, we didn’t know that besides mouth and nose attraction, this virus could also enter our bodies through an 'optical' passage - our eyes.
This is the reason why most health staff and government leaders encourage you to use eye protective gear such as face shields and eye goggles besides face masks to protect our eyes from any potential virus around us.
Why do we need to consider our eyes as one of the “gateways” for the virus to enter our systems? Basically, as we notice, eyes are a sensitive part of our body that doesn’t have external covering, unlike any other internal organs.
Due to that, besides arms and legs that we commonly use for movements, we couldn’t always close our eyes for obvious reasons. Because it is wide open for almost all the time, it is very sensitive and near to interacting with foreign objects making it easy to get infected by our hands or air.
Pink eye, or also called conjunctivitis, is defined as the inflammation of the conjunctiva (a transparent eye membrane) that leans eyes to turn a bit red from its normal white color. This infection may be a cause of irritation from harsh eye scratching, too much sneezing, or interaction with dust and dirt pollen.

Hence, should we be alert when this visibly occurs as a sign of Coronavirus infection? Do we consider this a mild or an extreme symptom of a person infected with it?
Apparently, yes! Like what we said before, symptoms may vary from one person to another depending on how they got the virus. Some people with pink eye symptoms may have scratched their eyes without knowing that they have interacted with someone or something infected by the virus making it enter its eyes freely. Yet, this virus is known for being part of the mild ones however, we should also be alert when this occurs for as we all know, eyes are a very sensitive part of our body that needs to be paid attention to. Besides this, once the virus has entered the eye, it may rapidly affect the whole other system with its infectious power that can be harmful to a person.
To avoid this type of symptom:

]]>Research says that symptoms that a certain person can develop with COVID-19 may vary from one person to another. Symptoms are also called “signs” or “early indications” that may occur when an individual is about to encounter a certain sickness within his/her body. The common and most known symptoms that a particular person can possess are high fever, dry cough, and headaches.
Besides having high fevers and dry cough, many people assume that sore throat can also be a sign of possible manifestation of the virus. Hence, to clarify things out, is sore throat really a sign of CoronaVirus? Is it really a so-called symptom that the people should be threatened about?
Sore throat, as we all know, refers to the irritation or the scratchy feeling we experience when we swallow a certain substance. It might be a cause of drinking too much cold water or excessive intake of sweets such as pastries and candies. This common illness had brought an alarm to the people nowadays for this has been concluded by many as one of the symptoms that states whether a certain person could have potential exposure to the Novel Coronavirus. But is it really one of the signs that a man should consider if she/he might have been infected by the virus?
In general, sore throat is not a very common symptom of COVID-19, it is just an early symptom that a person could experience depending on how he/she had got the illness. Many had considered this as a serious symptom for as we all know, CoronaVirus is a respiratory disease that has a huge attack on our respiratory systems which later on leads to common colds and throat irritations.
At this point in time, there are no definitive studies yet that accurately prove when exactly a sore throat occurs within the track of the infection, it is still undergoing thorough investigation and has never been finally documented at all. Also, a study in China, mandated by the World Health Organization (WHO), concluded that out of 55,000 confirmed cases, only 14 percent of the infected people reported that they had experienced sore throat before having been infected by the virus.

Hence, we should all be as alert and as careful as possible. When we tend to notice uncomfortable or doubtful behaviors and feelings, we should immediately call for help from any professional medical experts that could help us cope with what we are feeling. Self-medication nowadays is not that advisable anymore for what we are facing is a serious health matter that involves life and living.
CoronaVirus is not just an ordinary illness that can be cured easily through medicines, painkillers, or other herbal medicines that we usually do when we ought to feel something bad about ourselves. At this point, we should be wise about all the actions that we will be doing. We should listen to restrictions, health commands, safety measures, and even protocols given by our government and health leaders to lessen the possible growth of the infected number of people.
Instead of wasting time scrolling through social media platforms and clinging ourselves to our sofa-bed all day long, we should start entering the new world of a healthy lifestyle such as doing daily exercises to strengthen immunity, daily intakes of vitamins for additional body protection, maintaining clean and organised surroundings, habiting a good sense of hygiene, disinfecting knobs and newly bought items from outside places, and use or bring any protective types of equipment and sanitizing materials such as facemasks, sanitizers, and alcohols especially when we desperately need to go outside to buy goods or accomplish any personal transactions.

]]>Having pets at home is one of the things that a man could consider as an “essential thing” when having their own houses. Pets are so-called stress-relievers and go-to cuddle givers whenever we want to feel loved and calm after a long day at school or at work. Just like us people, pets do also get bored whenever we have limited activities set for the day. Besides pets staying at home, sometimes they tend to go outside our houses or common grounds to look for friendship from other house pets and stroll around the community freely. But a lot had changed, even the free community that they used to stroll with freely is not safe anymore. CoronaVirus had infected and vigorously set every human's lives in danger. Hence, a big confusion had questioned the minds of every pet owner which had been alarming to them since the very start of the CoronaVirus pandemic. Do pets (especially dogs) can have CoronaVirus? Is it still safe to stay with them and be as clingy as we are to them like before?
Good news: You can actually protect yourself as much as possible by wearing an FFP3 or N95 respiratory mask: Get your N95 respirator masks for the whole family today.
Cats are also pets, but the majority of the people concluded that dogs are way better to pet than cats for they are showier and can be trained easily with tricks, commands, and proper behaviors. In fact, we all know that dogs are considered as “man’s best friend” for they live and act like half-humans already. But in these pandemic times, is it still safe to pet dogs and let them stay outside for as long as they want?
Unfortunately, dogs can possibly get infected with CoronaVirus after close contact with a certain person or object transmitted with it. Just like humans, they also have body systems that they use in order to move and function well as a being. But, based on the limited information given by the Center for Disease Control and Protection (CDC), the risk of the animals spreading viruses to people is considered below. Hence, it is still told that whenever we feel doubtful about our pets, we should start tracking down their behaviors, temperatures, and even the amount of food they eat daily (appetite). Besides that, we should also treat pets like how we treat ourselves. Not pertaining to wearing of mask or sanitizing them with alcohols but let us help them to practice proper grooming such as taking a bath at least once a week, changing their dog sheets, feeding them good meals that are nourished with good vitamins and protections, keeping them away from the outside world, cleaning their cages (if they have), and most of all, have them isolate with you whenever some of your family members show signs of potential illnesses to avoid virus development.

There is no adequate or sufficient amount of studies to conclude that viruses can be transmitted through the skin, fur, or any other pet skins. If you see any unusual actions from them, do not panic and apply chemical-based disinfectants such as alcohols, sanitizers, and bleaches to their skins. Putting covering materials such as masks is not recommended for animal use because covering their faces may cause them harm. The best way to deal with your pet’s unfamiliar behavior is to contact your family veterinarian to further examine them accordingly and give them the best treatment that they need regarding your concern for the health of your pets.

Earlier this year, a particular “virus” had alarmed billions of people around the world. It has closed a lot of industries, restrained the normal movement of the people, lessened the development of big companies, shut down productions, canceled yearly events, and even caused devastation to the lives of many. It’s not a common illness nor something that we consider normal to exist. It is not even a joke and has been a serious subject that makes people forcibly adapt to the changes that it has brought. It also has been the foremost news headlines for almost every day and has been the most priority of social sectors of all the countries nationwide.
Novel CoronaVirus Disease or simply known as “COVID-19” is the contemporary pandemic disease that is being introduced to the people globally for the very first time. It is considered as a pandemic for it had already infected numerous numbers of people worldwide, from the simplest country around up to the richest one above. Coronavirus is a big family of viruses that can be a source of different sicknesses, from the common colds and coughs up to the development of contagious infectious diseases such as MERS-CoV at SARS-CoV that could possibly attack our body’s immune and respiratory systems. Yes, it does sound devastating and unpleasant to hear that this disease has nothing to bring but negative effects. At this time, almost all of the people wish for one thing and that is to finally end this Coronavirus’ life here on earth. But how will this end? Will there be a certain period or specific date of its total absence? Will CoronaVirus go away?
Good news: You can actually protect yourself from as much as possible by wearing an FFP3 or N95 respiratory face mask: Get your N95 respirator masks for the whole family today.
The answer is yes! It definitely will at the right time. We may not have a specified date of recovery from its remarkable effect in our world, but in God’s will, we will be able to overcome this by the end of time. Scientists and even professional doctors are working their best in trying to look for possible ways on how to create vaccines and medicines to prevent the virus from growing and at the same time, heal the patients who have been giving out their best to fight the infectious disease on their own. Besides scientists, the government leaders and even big companies worked and collaborated together to earn and donate monetary funds to be used in creating organizations and projects that could help hospitals and health sectors sustain the needs of their staff and facilities and supply the lack equipment and materials used for treating a COVID-19 patient.

The Novel Coronavirus which began in Wuhan, China had spread across the globe turning dreams into nightmares of every people on Earth. It’s a time of a predicament situation that has alerted everyone on the planet. It caused millions of deaths and separated members of some families, wherein sacrifices of the medical professionals have been made for the sake of others.
When did coronavirus really start? On December 31, 2019, there was an alarming case of pneumonia in Wuhan, China. According to the World Health Organization, dozens of people in Wuhan were being treated for pneumonia, but the source wasn’t clear. It was reported that these people had just visited the animal market in Wuhan before they obtained the sickness. After days had passed, researchers in China had identified a new virus that infected dozens of people not just in China but across Asia. During that time, there were no supporting pieces of evidence where the illness came from, and if the virus could have been spread from person to person.
At first, it might be perceived as a common sickness, but we didn’t imagine that this could lead to a major outbreak!

On Jan 11, 2020, was the first attack of the coronavirus. A 61-year-old man was reported dead due to the virus after he had visited the Wuhan live animal market. The speculations that the virus was from the market itself made a loud noise and alarmed the people residing in the area.
The whole world was still at ease during those times, since they never knew that this virus from Wuhan would infiltrate the globe. The first confirmed case of coronavirus in the United States was reported on Jan. 21, 2020. A 30-year-old man from Washington State was confirmed to be infected by the coronavirus after visiting the live animal market in Wuhan, China. Given the alarming situation that the virus can widely spread, on Jan. 23, 2020, China imposes strict lockdowns in Wuhan. The affected area imposes aggressive containment measures, suspending flights and trains, shutting down subways, buses, and ferries in an attempt to lessen the spread of the Novel Coronavirus also known as ‘COVID-19’.
As of now, some of the countries in the world are experiencing the impact of coronavirus, and it’s hard to believe that this virus might lead to a recession due to the economic downturn. In today’s post I’m going to show exactly how to whitelist emails so they don’t get sent to spam.
And I’m going to show you how to do it on ALL major email apps.
Click the desktop or mobile email app you use below for detailed instructions on how to whitelist using that app.
Pro tip: Link your email subscribers to this page in your welcome email (or on your email sign up thank you page) to make it easy for them to whitelist your emails.
Mobile (Tablet/Phone) Email Apps
Gmail
Apple Mail
Yahoo
Outlook Mobile
Desktop (Mac/PC) Email Apps
Gmail
Outlook 20XX
Outlook.com
AOL Mail
Comcast/Xfinity
AT&T Yahoo Mail
Mac OS X Mail App
If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, here’s how to whitelist an email address on the most common mobile email apps.
In the Gmail app, you have two options:
Report an email as “not spam” (if the email is in spam).
Move an email from the promotional inbox to the primary inbox.
If an email is ending up in your spam folder, open the email and click Report not spam.
You can also tap the three dots in the upper right corner and click Mark important to give it priority in your inbox (shown in the video below).
To move an email from the promotional folder to your primary inbox, open the email and tap the three dots in the upper right corner, then tap Move to > Primary.
Apple Mail doesn’t have the option to whitelist like some other email providers do. Instead, all you can do is mark something as “Not Junk” and it will be sent to your inbox. Here’s how:
Open your Mail app and go to the Mailboxes screen.
Select the Junk folder.
Find the email you want to whitelist and swipe left to see options.
Tap the More button.
Tap the Mark button.
Tap the Mark as Not Junk button.
To add an email address to your mobile Yahoo! Mail contacts (and ensure delivery), follow these steps:
Tap the hamburger menu (three stacked lines) in the top left.
Tap Settings and scroll down to Filters.
Select the email account you want to add a filter for.
Tap the + icon to add a new filter.
Name it anything you want (such as “Whitelist”), then either:
Add the exact email you want to whitelist OR;
Add the @domain.com you want to whitelist to get deliveries from every email at that domain.
Click the ✓ icon in the top right to save the filter.
On Outlook mobile, you can add senders to your focused inbox to ensure delivery of their emails. Here’s how:
Open the email you want to whitelist.
Tap the three dots in the top right of the screen (not the dots inside the email).
Tap Move to Focused Inbox.
In the popup box, tap the radius button for “Move this and all future messages” then tap MOVE TO FOLDER.
There are three ways to whitelist emails using Gmail:
Gmail tabs
Marking an email as “not spam”
Creating a filter
If you’re using Gmail tabs (Promotional and Social), click and drag the email you want to whitelist from the tab it’s in to the Primary tab, like so:
Once done, you’ll get an alert saying “This conversation has been moved to Primary. Do this for all future messages from sender@theirdomain.com?” Click Yes.
If the email is already in your spam folder, mark it as “not spam”. Open the email in your spam folder that you want to whitelist, then click Report not spam.
Finally, if an email is already in your primary folder but you want to make sure all emails from this sender always end up there, you can create a filter. To do this, follow these steps:
Click the cog icon in the top-right corner, and then Settings from the drop-down menu.
Click the Filters tab then Create a new filter.
Enter the domain of the email you want to whitelist in the From field.
Click Create filter with this search.
In the box titled When a message arrives that matches this search select Never send it to spam.
Click the Create filter button.
To whitelist an email in any version of Outlook after 2000:
Click the blue Click here to download pictures information box.
Click Add Sender to Safe Senders List. You can also click Add the Domain @domain.com to Safe Senders List to whitelist all emails coming from any email address on that domain.
Open the email you want to whitelist. An alert message should display stating, “Parts of this message have been blocked for your safety.” Click I trust sender@domain.com. Always show content.
To whitelist emails on AOL:
Open the email you would like to whitelist.
Click their email contact name and address, then click Add Contact.
Enter their first and last name (company name works).
Click Add Contact again. That’s it!
If you have an email account from Xfinity (formerly Comcast), here’s how to whitelist a contact:
Sign into your My XFINITY account.
At the top right, click the Mail icon to get to your inbox.
Click the Address Book tab.
Click +Create Contact in the top menu (looks like a head silhouette with a plus sign).
Add the sender’s email address.
Click Save to save and whitelist the contact.
AT&T uses the Yahoo! Mail app platform, so whitelisting instructions are the same with both. To whitelist contacts with these email providers:
Click the contact book in the right-hand menu.
At the bottom of the sidebar, click +Add new contact.
Enter the name and email information of the sender you want to whitelist (you can use a business name).
Click Save.
To whitelist all emails from a domain in the Mail app for Mac OS X or macOS:
In the top menu, click Mail > Preferences.
Click the Rules tab.
Click Add Rule.
Enter a whitelist name in the Description field, such as "Whitelist: sumo.com" to create the new rule.
For conditions, set the first dropdown menu item to any. It should say: If any of the following conditions are met.
In the following dropdown menus, select From in the first field and Ends with in the second field.
In the text field following Ends with, enter the domain name that you want to whitelist. Include "@" before the domain name to make the filter specific—for example, to whitelist all mail from the sumo.com domain, but not mail that might come from one of its subdomains (such as @subdomain.sumo.com), type "@sumo.com" into the field.
Click the plus sign next to the last condition to add another domain with the same criteria if you want to whitelist more domains.
In the Perform the following actions section, set the three dropdown items to: Move Message, to the mailbox: Inbox (or any target folder you want).
Click OK to save the rule.

This recent disease is called “CoronaVirus 2019” or commonly known as “COVID-19”. Coronavirus disease is defined as an illness that is caused by a newly discovered coronavirus that was stated to be first detected in the province of Wuhan in China. This is a contemporary pandemic disease that is being introduced to the people globally for the very first time. It is considered a “pandemic” for it had already infected numerous numbers of people worldwide. Coronavirus is a big family of viruses that can be a source of different sicknesses, from the common colds and coughs up to the development of contagious infectious diseases such as MERS-CoV at SARS-CoV that could possibly attack our body’s immune and respiratory systems.

This disease is known for its rapid transmission from one person to another through direct contact. Recently, this disease has been concluded as an airborne disease that could possibly affect people through the air without coming to know it. This virus also can be manifested through material things (in metals and steels to be exact) that stay for at least 4 days long in its surfaces.
We all know that this disease had massively affected a large number of people throughout the whole world as of today but we can be able to mitigate and prevent ourselves from it by being well-educated with information and details about the current Coronavirus disease, which can also be the considered the best way to help the world heal its land.

Coronavirus has been infecting people invisibly. It had already infected thousands of us without giving any signs, symptoms, or any possible occurrences in our body. And because of this, we tend to be very cautious of everything that is happening to us. We begin to panic when we experience something different and conclude things based on our own perceptions and ideas without consulting first through experts and professionals.

Besides financial assistance and government help, citizens were all shouting for free mass testing to be able to fully secure everyone’s health condition during this pandemic. Some experts concluded that without knowing your current condition, may let you be very close to getting infected by the virus (victim) or another way around which are you getting others infected by the virus (suspect). And because of this, active cases around the world are getting larger and larger every day because we ought to know that everyone around us is safe and healthy. Hence, didn’t we know that some of us might be called asymptomatic ( used to describe a person without showing any symptoms of COVID-19 yet still infected by the disease) and some of us might be symptomatic (used to describe a person with occurring visible signs or symptoms of COVID-19).
We all know that MASS TESTING is a must to finally help everyone ensure the safety and condition of oneself against the virus. It is the only way to conclude the prediction of people with their occurring symptoms and superstitions when having to feel something bad about their state of health.

Exactly how the coronavirus is spread – via a droplet infection or rather about aerosols in the breathing air, is not yet definitively clarified. When a corona patient coughs, speaks or sneezes, a beam of different sized aerosols are produced that penetrates and spreads into the room air.
In July 2020 Prof. Dr. Martin Kriegel, head of the Hermann Rietschel Institute at the TU Berlin, finished a study about all these different sized droplets and aerosols which potentially contain viruses. He and his team researched how these particles behave, if and when they sink to the ground, how far they are distributed, remain in the air, or where they sediment.
Here are his first findings:
The TU Berlin investigated the time for pathogens to spend in the air under a wide range of conditions: i.e. if the spread of the virus depends on the composition and size distribution of the particles within the exhaled air (aerosol). An aerosol is the smallest, liquid, or solid particles (these can be viruses, for example, individually or in combination with saliva) in a gas, usually air. The particle size ranges from a few nanometers – i.e. one-millionth of a millimeter – to several micrometers. By comparison, a human hair has a thickness of about 100 microns.
For the coronavirus, it seems to be that both droplet infections and airborne transmission, i.e. via aerosols, are relevant. In a droplet infection, the virus particles in a saliva droplet reach directly onto the mucous membranes of another human being. In an airborne transmission, the viruses enter the airways, bound in the smallest liquid particles. The size of the carrier aerosols is crucial for the behavior of viruses in the air, but also the indoor climate, the rate of air change, and the way in which it is ventilated. Larger particles sink to the ground faster.
Smaller particles follow the airflow and can remain in the air for a long time: a fact which makes them very dangerous for people working in open offices.
The spread of the mixture of particles, saliva, and air, which occurs during the speech, coughing, and sneezing, takes place in two steps.
First, coughing, speaking, sneezing creates a ray that penetrates into the room air and increasingly mixes with it. The course of the incoming beam depends on different boundary conditions such as speed, turbulence, the temperature difference between the beam and the ambient air, and the difference in humidity.
The first studies have shown that particles from 0.01 microns to 1500 microns occur when speaking/coughing/sneezing. "After the beam has been completely mixed with the room air, the distribution takes place. The smaller particles largely follow the airflow of the room, while larger particles gradually fall to the ground.
The fact that humans ‚sneeze‘ very large particles are often ignored. Normal speech and coughing generate almost exclusively small aerosols. More than 50 percent of medium particles can still be found in the air after 20 minutes.

In the various tests, the scientists measured the so-called sedimentation time (deposit time) of particles of different size classes. Small particles (0.5 to 3 microns) are still almost completely present in the air after a measuring time of 20 minutes. The deposition of these particles is not or only slightly recognizable. For medium particles (3 to 10 microns) more than 50 percent are still to be found in the air after a measuring time of 20 minutes. It also shows that even larger droplets (>60 microns) can spread far in space under certain circumstances. This is the case, for example, when the particles are „sneezed“ in the stream of heat sources (for example, by one person). They rise, spread horizontally, and only then begin to deposit. Possible horizontal air movements further enhance the distribution effect.
And what is the situation in a multi-person office?
In connection with day-to-day work in an office with several people, the scientists also simulated the particle propagation in an office occupied by four people with and without mechanical ventilation. This shows that smaller particles under 50 microns, in particular, spread far in the room without mechanical ventilation and linger for a long time. In contrast, particles between 5 and 20 microns spread less widely in a room with mechanical ventilation and are largely discharged. Any increase in outdoor air supply makes sense.
The key questions that we will now explore in interdisciplinary projects are how large SARS-CoV-2 particles must be in order to be still infectious and how the length of stay of this particle size can be influenced by targeted supply and exhaust air systems or even simple ventilation of rooms.
The indoor climate also plays a role, because the aerosols become smaller very quickly due to evaporation and then behave differently. Basically, it can be said that at typical air change rates in residential and office buildings, the pathogens remain in the room for hours. The sinking speed and also the air renewal takes a very long time. Any increase in the external air supply is therefore generally useful.

Nelson Mandela, a former President of South Africa, was known for sharing inspirational and motivational quotes to his citizens to value education more than other things around. In this quote, he concluded that education will be the weapon that can be used by people someday in changing the world to a much better one.
But how about now? What if the world now changes education? Could education still be powerful enough to bring change to our world?
Obviously, yes!
Staying at home is one of the most observed rules to be strictly followed by each person for safety and survival. Because of this, face-to-face classes were abruptly forbidden as of the period while waiting for the final vaccine against the coronavirus disease.

Education is considered as an essential thing to a person’s life. Knowledge will be a tool that everyone can use to be able to succeed and survive life in the years to come. And because of this, education needs to be still and continue growing as it ease.
In response to this modern virus, local government authorities that focus on education set standards and plans to be able to continue education while everyone is under the pandemic. The current solution that the authorities finally concluded is the application of classes by means of online learning.
Online classes refer to the learning of students from their instructors via the Internet. This procedure is way different than the normal face-to-face physical classes that students are engaging in before. In this phase, students were to listen to their instructors by means of video or audio calling. Everything happens through online - modules, discussions, and even workbooks and activities. There is no need for students to go to their respective schools at times but having the same schedule will still surely be applied for organizing classes.
This is a tough thing to consider for everything is new not only to the students but also to our teachers. They weren’t prepared in discussing everything online because they loved going to schools and entering classrooms to teach and to give lessons personally. Hence bear in mind that educational authorities give their utmost best to be able to produce virtual modules and slides for the students to have good accessible and comfortable learning while staying at homes.
Schools have also provided virtual classrooms to organize workbooks and deadlines given by the instructors for students. They have also provided premium access to any educational sites that can help their students for research and information purposes. Besides these things, teachers also extract extra and flexible time for students who wish to contact them outside classes for clarifications and individual learning especially for those who are in need to have special attention and slow coping problems.

Educational authorities are giving their double time and efforts to be able to formulate great outcomes of their plans as a response to this modern pandemic. So students and teachers must also need to shed their foremost sweats and blood to be able to have significant experience with online learning. There is nothing difficult for those people who want to learn. Finding ways and showing eagerness is a sign of an individual wanting to top-notch life and be a better, productive citizen in the future to come.
Remember that today’s generation will eventually handle and govern the world later. Start molding and honing them to the best that they can be while we still have time and opportunities. It is them who’ll hold the future while our grandmothers and former leaders were already resting after a long way of having their own journeys before. Continue and together, we grow!

For the past last few months, many countries all over the world set nationwide lockdowns as they faced the predicament situation of Coronavirus well-known as COVID-19.
The whole world was shaken with fear that they might end of getting ill or worst dead; that the business industry might fall apart and the economy might be inflicted. Well, the results were inevitable.
Flights have been banned and the tourism industry had encountered a disastrous situation, as well as other industries connected with shipping products overseas. We were all manipulated by the virus, which made our lives limited to what we can do. Schools have been closed, as well as other establishments which have caused many people to lose job momentarily and some self-supporting workers to stop working.
What we all experienced was a nightmare, and we are always wandering when will this nightmare end? When Is the Coronavirus crises over?
After few months of quarantine, the government in some countries decided to lift up the lockdowns and made everything worked again. We were able to go to work following a certain guidelines, businesses were able to operate on a certain basis and people began to fill the road and other establishments. But, still, we are not as free as before. People should wear facemask or any other protective personal equipment to reduce the risks of getting ill from the Coronavirus.
This, obviously stated that we are NOT YET safe. The COVID-19 crisis is NOT yet OVER.

It’s a major health risk to ignore the pandemic or think it’s no longer a threat — especially given the fact that a large number of people don’t display any symptoms of the disease. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that around 35% of COVID-19 infections are not showing symptoms. Other data from Iceland found that up to 50% of people who tested positive for COVID-19 are symptomless.
Without knowing it, many people might be spreading the virus, and those with pre-existing illness or diseases at the age of 60 and above might be in higher risk of getting infected. Wear a face mask when you go out, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, and use hand sanitizer if necessary.
